Mark your calendars for next year’s conference, which will take place on February 11-12, 2014.
More than 550 professionals attended the Beyond Safety Conference and Expo on February 19-20, 2013, at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville, Indiana. The two-day affair was presented by Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable (NWIBRT) in partnership with the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

- 1.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) awarded by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)
In addition to offering the latest developments in safety techniques and technologies, we featured distinguished speakers such as fighter pilot and motivational speaker Mr. Jeff “Odie” Espenship and Indiana OSHA Deputy Commissioner Mr. Timothy E. Maley.
The 3rd Annual Beyond Safety Conference & Expo welcomed notable companies such as Cintas, BP, U.S. Steel, NIPSCO and ArcelorMittal. Something new we offered in 2013 was the opportunity for these companies to sponsor private events and safety meetings during the conference. As a Member Owner Sponsor, BP’s Whiting Business Unit presented their Safety Awards Ceremony to more than 200 of their contracting companies. In addition, the NWI Contractors Association hosted their monthly meeting and The Pangere Corporation entertained clients at an exclusive VIP after-event.
This year marked our third annual offering of this event to professionals throughout the Midwest. We have enjoyed tremendous growth each year, and are already planning for another great Beyond Safety Conference and Expo in 2014!
